I've been out of the country for the last 5 years and have recently returned to Indiana. Its quite a change going from worlds of healthy eating and public transportation, to Indianapolis.
Its not just the obesity that I find startling. Its the number of people that are simply overweight and unhealthy. I want to help these people. This blog is therefore going to take a new direction. Formerly about teaching, it is now going to serve to guide people who are overweight and want to change their lives. So if you happen to be reading this blog, and you are overweight please stay tuned. I plan on filling these pages with loads of advice, types and over all guidance to help you get on the right track to loosing weight, and staying healthy.
Step 1) You need to recognize the severity of your health. Weather you are obese, 20 pounds overweight, or are starting to recognize that your clothes do not fit, you must recognize this as unacceptable. Its easy to excuse your self from the condition. Maybe you plan the extra weight on a preexisting health condition, your family life, or stress. You need to recognize your condition and change. If you're reading this right now then please do the following. Stop reading, and find a clean notebook. If you don't have one then WALK to the nearest store and buy one. On the way to find the notebook think about what you're doing. There is something or many things in your life that you need fix. What are these things? Once you get home have a tall glass of water and with a nice pen write down the following declaration.
"I, state your name, and (obese, 20 pounds overweight, etc...) and I must find a way to change this". That's all you need to write. Then think about what you wrote. Let his notebook be your confidant down the long road to healthy living.
If you have actually done what I've just told you then please keep reading. I want to help people loose weight and stay healthy one step at a time. If you have questions, concerns, about anything regarding this issue, then post them to me. I will answer them. I want to help you.
